Landscaping

One member of the Deux Chenes team is a landscaper by trade. Therefore, we can undertake small or large scale landscape projects. In France we have completed projects such as driveway block paving, paved terraces, decked terraces, large-scale poolside terracing, full garden landscaping, stone walling, water features, oak sleeper edging and flower beds, gravel driveways and raised flower beds. We have the facility to plan your landscape project from scratch to ensure the best possible design. Deux Chenes can install any shape or size of in-ground or above-ground swimming pool. We traditionally install liner pools, both chlorine and salt-based. Moreover, we can offer the whole package of swimming pool, terracing and a timber, stone or block built pool house. In the past our pool houses have simply housed the pumping system or have been more elaborate, including full summer kitchens, bathrooms and bars!

Roofing

The traditional method of canals and chapeaux tiles are used in many areas of South West France and the north Dordogne and southern Charente are no exception. Skilled in both this method and the less labour intensive interlocking style tiles we offer an exceptional roofing service. Whole agricultural barns of over 600 m2, brand new garages as well as semi-detached properties have been re-roofed by us during the last 5 years. Plastic guttering can be done to finish off the roof but the specialist method of zinc work can only be undertaken by our zinc work artisan based in department 24. A more recent project has been the repair of a slate-based, four-storey chateau roof in the Dordogne.As we also specialise in carpentry, we can offer the complete re-roofing package to include the timber sub-structure, feltwork and tiling.
